Attentive at the front gates, a statue of a bison serenely watches over the property. Exquisitely manicured lawns roll out towards a private lake, tennis courts and an estate surrounded by hand tended flower gardens. Other bronze statues intermingle with columbines and waterfalls. Even though Wildflower Meadows may be reminiscent of the sprawling ranches of the first settlers to Steamboat, the conveniences are very clearly of the 21st century. A paved driveway leads up the private road to the house, while tennis courts wait for a friendly match to be played. The extensive sprinkler system ensures lush green fields throughout the summer. As dawn and dusk approach they can easily be mistaken for any of the many wildlife that call this property home for a short while. From deer to hawks, eagles, geese and foxes, Wildflower Meadows is a safe haven from the hectic life the rest of the world offers.
